Guma Valley in Good Service Delivery

If water is life, then Guma Valley Water Company has embarked on a good service delivery based on assessment done by this medium within the past six months. Previously, Guma Water Company was struggling with their virgin land issue that was engaged by land grabbers within the perimeters of the Guma environment. The brushing, burning of the bushes and the constructions of illegal buildings was the order of the day.

This Medium took it efforts in monitoring the exercises of Guma Water Company to be able to attest to the fact that, there is good service delivery to the people of the capital of Freetown. There are monitoring and evaluation process during these activities to see a better work done the company. The preservations of the water catchment areas is a bold step for better rain fall and to fight against climate change. 

The only observation this Medium is sensing is the lack of sufficient water supply at Central Business Centre (CBU). Another observation by this Medium is the deliberate cutting down of functional pipes that supply various customer or paid-up clients.  This Medium is suggesting that, there should be penalties paid by any defaulters’ of the Guma Valley Company’s Act. It was also observed that, Guma Valley Water Company rationing the supply of water to the public in day-in and day-out, which most citizens are very pleased with the initiative. However, we expecting the company to always notify the public earlier when there any breakdown of water supply in any part of the capital city. Bravo to Guma Water Company once more for a good service delivery.
