On July 3rd, 2025, The New Numbered newspaper mistakenly published a story titled “G-Shankerdas and Sons’ “Ungodly Way of Treating Staff”. After further investigation, we have found the article to be “false, baseless, and misleading”.
We deeply regret this error.
What We Found:
The claims made in the article were unfounded.
The story caused “reputational harm” to G-Shankerdas and Sons and its management.
The company has supported over “4,000 Sierra Leoneans” through employment, skills training, and community impact.
The New Numbered extends a “formal apology” to G-Shankerdas and Sons, its staff, and loyal clients. As a respected institution in Sierra Leone, “G-Shankerdas and Sons continues to uphold strong values and contribute positively to society”.
