Eco Energy Aligns with Mining Industry to Boost Fuel Distribution…

Eco Energy, a predominantly Sierra Leonean business, has emerged as a strategic partner to the mining industry. While its roots lie in supporting mining operations, the company’s outreach extends well into the private sector.

According to Managing Director Francis S. Bendu, Eco Energy values environmental sustainability and maintains a reputation for being a friendly and reliable partner. Though only established a year ago, the company has quickly become a major player in the fuel industry, operating one of the largest storage facilities in Freetown, with a capacity of 48,000 metric tons.

Eco Energy supplies petroleum and gas both in wholesale and retail. Clients like ZOLA and Kinho Mining Company rely on its infrastructure for fuel storage and delivery.

In an exclusive conversation, Mr. Bendu revealed that Eco Energy is currently engaged in refurbishing the Kissy Jetty—set to become a key hub for petroleum and gas shipments. Recently, 15,000 metric tons of fuel were added to Eco Energy’s supply chain.

The company also focuses on staff training and fulfilling Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) commitments, including sensitization on hydrogen and oxygen technologies.

Looking ahead, Eco Energy plans to launch its own retail outlets to meet rising demand for fuel. Mr. Bendu remains optimistic about the future, noting the company’s potential to support road maintenance and other community development projects.
